A Journey Across the Mediterranean’s Edge & Into the Atlantic

Overview

Begin in Rome before Naples and Palermo introduce southern Italy’s layered character, followed by Tunis and Algiers, where North African culture reshapes the journey’s perspective. Returning briefly to Spain, Cartagena and Barcelona offer a familiar rhythm before turning south once more to Tangier and Casablanca. The route then opens into the Atlantic, where volcanic landscapes and quieter island life unfold across the Canaries and Madeira. Concluding in Lisbon, the journey traces a gradual shift from enclosed seas to open ocean horizons.
